With a keen focus on realizing the twin goals of “Make in India” and “Skill India” missions, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is embarking on various initiatives to take the country’s manufacturing to new heights. Following our Prime Minister’s mission to take the country’s manufacturing industry to a higher technological level, thereby setting a goal to raise the percentage of manufacturing in GDP from present 16% to 25% by Year 2022 to create 100 Million new jobs, CII is seeking Japan’s support for “Education in Manufacturing Technologies”.
Significance of the Technical Seminar and Workshop on High Precision Arc Welding Technology
Welding technology is a fundamental aspect of “monodzukuri (manufacturing)”. The reliability and safety of steel weld structures depends on welding personnel, such as welding coordinators, welding inspectors and welders.
Against the above backdrop and with a view toward improving the business environment and the global competitiveness of Indian Industry, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing a two day seminar cum workshop in partnership with the Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS) and Kansai Economic Federation, under the aegis of the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and supported by Panasonic Welding Systems Co. Ltd. (PWSI).
Ms Yoshiaki ITO, Consul-General of Japan in Mumbai has kindly consented to be the honorable guest. Mr. Uday N Raykar, President of AOTS Alumni Society, and other senior members of Indian Institute of Welding (IIW) & Indian Welding Society (IWS) have also confirmed their presence.
Registration and objectives of the workshop
The two-day workshop will demonstrate Japan’s High-quality welding technology including the importance of welding quality control, legal regulations, certification systems and safety education which will impact positively on India’s quality of products.
